I have been traveling by car across the country with my 100lb Shepard blue tick hound mix. He generally does not drool but has been drooling excessively for the last two days, soaking his front chest and blankets. He doesn’t seem to be in pain, no vomiting or diarrhea, and I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary in his mouth. He did drink some water from the Calando river. How can I help him, and when is excessive drooling a concern that requires an emergency vet visit?
