I have five dachshunds. Two are suddenly presenting with an odd, deep cough that sounds like they're trying to cough something up. It is not a productive cough, though the female, whose cough is slightly worse, is occasionally making foamy stuff come out. They don't have fever, both of their gums are pink, I don't hear wheezing or rattling in their lungs, though the female seems to have a slight hiccup. Do I take them in tonight or is it safe to wait until morning?

It is safe to wait until morning. The symptoms you're describing sound like Infectious Tracheobronch...

Our one-year-old 12-pound Maltipoo ate a soft rubber pencil grip, approximately 1 1/2" long and 1/4" wide. Should he be able to pass this on his own comfortably, or should we take him to have it removed?

I have a 3-month-old French Bulldog with a visible sclera in her right eye, indicating a deviation. Is this a serious problem, and if so, how can it be solved? Additionally, sometimes her sclera appears red (red eye). Could these two issues together indicate something more serious?

I have an 8-year-old Doberman diagnosed with possible liver disease. He is on 2 x Denosyl 425mg, 2 x Amoxiclav 500mg daily, and 10mg of Lactulose daily. My questions are: Does he need the Lactulose if he was not showing signs of constipation? And how can I get him to eat, as he has been a finicky eater and is now refusing food?
