I have two Cattle Dogs, one started having a deep bark last night, developing a choking bar with white sticky mucus, and the other has now developed the same cough. Both are not off their food and seem quite OK in between these bouts. How could they have caught this suspect condition, is it highly contagious, and what about contact with humans? How long can a dog have suspected Kennel Cough? Should they be taken to a Vet or could one let it take its course? Should I restrict their activity?

My dog has started licking her upper leg. There was a small section of hair gone, but now (after 3 days) it is much larger and pink. She doesn't mind me touching or looking at it. Advice? She has an appointment in 2 weeks, is that too far out to worry?

My Siberian Husky has been diagnosed with diabetes. He lost 12 kgs over 6 months, and his blood test revealed high sugar levels. His organs are functioning well, but we want to avoid daily insulin injections. Is there a natural way to control his diabetes, and can we reduce his sugar level from 20 to an acceptable level with proper care and diet changes?

Our westie ate a mushroom in the yard. We gave him some peroxide to make him throw up. Anything else we need to do now? The visit to the pet emergency room is over $300. Should we wait until the vet opens tomorrow to have him checked out unless he shows signs of distress?
