I'm seeking a second opinion on my 11-year-old male dog's x-ray. He was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma by an ER vet based solely on an x-ray, but we are skeptical because he had a non-cancerous biopsy result on the same arm a few months prior. Additionally, our previous vet in Oklahoma suggested that the symptoms he had last summer (sudden lameness in back legs, coughing, lethargy) could have been due to valley fever, which was not treated. My dog is currently acting normal, eating, drinking, and eliminating normally, and showing signs of improvement after resting his injured leg. What could be the cause of the lump on his shoulder, and should we consider further testing for valley fever?
