I rescued a dog from a pet rescue in Tennessee and got him last Monday. He had a checkup on Friday which went well, but since Saturday, he has developed a gagging cough. I suspect it's kennel cough and contacted the rescue. They suggested using Robitussin DM or Benadryl to treat it, but I'm unsure if that's safe. What should I do for my dog, who is a year and 9 months old black lab/retriever mix?

My litter of 3 Pedigreed GSD pups all display pink with black blotches on paw pads. One pup also has a slight pinkish tone under the nose. Paws should be black. Can they change to black and is there anything I can do? This is important as they are show/working dogs and will require to be active on all surfaces like road, grass, gravel. I also live in a hot climate.

Mom's older Belgian Shepherd, Oso, passed away suddenly. He was overweight, current on all shots and heartworm medication. On the night of his passing, he was let out to pee and returned vomiting white, slimy, odorless liquid that seemed to be clogging his throat. His stomach was also slightly hard. The emergency clinic advised against giving him food or water and suggested he might die by morning if not brought in. Oso eventually died in his bed. The vet who handled his cremation suggested it sounded like a seizure, not poison. Mom found two piles of vomit in the backyard the day before. What could have caused Oso's sudden death?

My 5-year-old black lab, Happy, hyperventilates at night but rarely during the day. The vet suspected a heart problem and prescribed Lasix, but there has been no improvement. Happy is overweight, gets regular exercise, and has a homemade diet. She has heavy breathing without coughing and her breath sounds hoarse. What could be causing her hyperventilation and what tests should be conducted to diagnose the issue?

My Pomeranian fell on his head while walking home. Initially, he was dazed, froze up, and had some bleeding under his lip. He seemed fine afterward, but I'm concerned if he might have a concussion. What should I look out for, and does he need to see a vet?
