I started taking Phentermine (an appetite suppressant) about 3 weeks ago, and coincidentally, my dog has started acting very strange around the same period. He's overly clingy, possessive to the extreme, with heavy panting, restlessness, and an overall state of constant agitation. Is it possible that the ingredients (active or inactive) are somehow causing this elevated state of unrest in him? Could my body be secreting some sort of chemical from the phentermine that is affecting his behavior? I'm worried and would like to know if this is the case, what I can do to help calm him or reverse his restlessness.

The phentermine itself is not likely to be affecting your dog directly unless he ingests it. However...

My dog's front paw pads are pink, tender, and she is limping and frequently licking them. She has a skin condition (dermatitis) and gets Atopica daily. What can I do to help her?

My chihuahua is 61 days pregnant. Her temperature has dropped from 37 degrees to 36.7 degrees, and she hasn't eaten since Friday night. She is very subdued and there is a slight clear discharge. The puppies are very active. Does this mean she is in labor, and should I be concerned if she goes past the 24-hour mark without delivering? What should I do next?

My dog is breathing hard and constipated. He had a small operation last Friday and is having trouble getting his bowels moving. I can feel and hear a lot of rumbling in his tummy. Should I wait or take him to the vet? I am rubbing his tummy and giving him some oil I got from the vet. He is a Brussels Griffon.

I have a 1.5-year-old female French Bulldog who recently went through a heat cycle with significant blood discharge and is now experiencing a jelly-like, yellowish discharge. She has a swollen, pink nipple, and I suspect vaginitis or pyometra. The vet performed an ultrasound and blood test but found no conclusive results. They prescribed Flagyl and Spiradan, but I'm concerned about giving these antibiotics if she's pregnant. Is it safe, and are there alternative antibiotics that are safer? Should I be worried about her discharge?
