My 12-year-old Chihuahua/Pekingese mix, Calvin, has dark flaky skin and continues to shed flakes even after multiple washes. He has been licking his front paw, which is red, and has had black gunk under his eyes since moving to Florida three years ago. He has been using salmon oil in his food for a couple of weeks and has no pre-existing conditions. What could be causing this and what can I do to help him?
