We have a two-year-old chocolate lab who occasionally poops on the coir mat by our front door overnight and has pooped on carpets when staying with my father. She knows she is doing wrong and has good control during the day. How can we retrain her to go outside and let us know if she needs to go out?

We are struggling with Cushing's disease in a 9-year-old rough collie. He has been on 30 mg of Vetoryl per day for 2 months. The ACTH push test showed his cortisol was within normal limits, but he still pants and drools, is very weak in his hindquarters, and has trouble walking with very low energy. The Cushing's started to manifest last December, but the vet missed the diagnosis. He's had 2 ultrasounds, several x-rays, and a lot of blood work—no skeletal issues, 2 liver enzymes are off, plus there's a "node" on his spleen. He had a chiropractic adjustment and acupuncture treatment 1.5 weeks ago, which seemed to help for about a week, but he's acting very tired and weak again and has had 2 urinary accidents. The vets told me to double his Vetoryl, but I don't see any change. What additional information can you provide?

My dog Lily, a 14-year-old yellow lab, has Cushing's disease, severe allergies, and is experiencing hair loss due to Cushing's. I've spent over $4000 on vet bills in Southern California, and I need to buy a ramp to help her get into my car for vet visits. I want her to be comfortable this last year. What can I do to help her be more comfortable and manage her conditions?
