He's been eating and drinking normally but has been itching, and I've noticed redness just below his bottom. He's also walking and sitting differently and has been in bed all day. My dog, Sasha, had IVDD surgery in April with a hemolaminectomy at T13-L3 and a disc extrusion at L5-L6. She has been on strict crate rest and physical therapy since then. Recently, her balance has worsened, her rear legs are giving out, and she is dragging her left rear leg more. Could this be due to the remaining hemorrhage area that the surgeon did not fully remove, or is it more likely related to muscle loss from the extensive crating and weight loss?
