My dog is shaking, has vomited, and is sitting very close to me. I just noticed it an hour ago. How do I tell if it’ll pass on its own or if I should get further help? There were some unusual chunks in her vomit. She is 12 years old, fully vaccinated, has had no recent changes in diet, but is very food driven and eats things in the yard and on walks all the time. She managed to eat her dinner tonight and has kept it down. However, she was shaking a lot and very clingy, which is unusual for her.

My dog chewed up an ibuprofen and spit it out. It looks like she chewed it up and didn’t like the taste and spit it back out. So maybe about 1/2-1/3 of the actual pill. The ibuprofen was 200 milligrams. My dog is a 9-month-old chihuahua mix, weighing about 8-10 pounds. She is acting totally normal, but I’m not sure how much she may have ingested or how long ago it happened. Is there a way I can make her throw up or something?
