My 10-year-old Shih Tzu is constantly licking her lips, yawning, sighing, and appears uncomfortable, especially at night, disrupting her sleep. She used to drink a lot of water but now avoids it. Her teeth are good, and her tests for worms are negative. Her bowels and stool are normal, but she seems distressed and sometimes sounds like she has something stuck in her throat or nose. What could be causing her discomfort and what can I do to help her?

My 7-year-old chihuahua, who is prone to frontal seizures and not up to date on shots but has had them in the past, had bloody diarrhea at 1 am. It looked gelatinous and smelled bloody. She is not as energetic as usual, but her gums have color and she is eating boiled chicken and water. No more diarrhea today. Does this require an emergency trip to the vet, or can she wait until tomorrow to see a vet?

My 13-15 year old Pomeranian is experiencing severe right-sided hind leg pain, difficulty rolling onto his stomach when laying on his left side, and a chronic right-sided head locking issue that occurs about once every two weeks. What could be causing these symptoms and what steps should I take to help my dog?

My 13-year-old dog has been experiencing bed-wetting for the past two nights, with no other signs of incontinence. She has also slowed down significantly in the last month and has a lower tolerance for heat. Is this just due to age?
