I have a 6-year-old Maltese suffering from ascites and a liver mass, and recently experienced tarry stools. Are the medications he is on (metronidazole, sucralfate, prednisolone, famotidine) safe to use together? The dog has fluid in the tummy, no vomiting, and almost normal stools.
