My 10-year-old lab, Annie, has been trying to throw up for about 2 hours but nothing is coming out. She has expelled a little food and some slobber. This is the first time this has happened. Her breathing seems more labored, and her stomach feels tight. What could be wrong and what should I do?

My dog, Rocky, ate half of a valsartan/HCTZ 320mg/25mg pill prescribed for hypertension. He is a 90lb, 7-year-old dog in good health. I managed to get half the pill out of his mouth, but he likely ingested the other half. What should I do?

My puppy was exposed to gasoline while I was pouring it from a jug to a pail. I'm not sure if she got gasoline in her mouth or on her skin, but she vaguely smells of gasoline. Is there anything I need to do immediately or what do I need to watch for?

My 10-year-old Shih Tzu has a 6cm mass on his spleen, discovered during a routine exam. The surgery is scheduled for September 12, but I'm concerned about waiting that long. Are there any symptoms I should watch for, and is this wait time too long? Additionally, how do dogs typically recover from this type of surgery, and what precautions should be taken post-surgery?

My 10-lb dog has been scratching and running around for 2 days. I gave him 15 mg of Benadryl, which helps him calm down and get some rest. His stool looks fine, he hasn't had much food, and only his regular feed. He ate some fried chicken skin, which I think triggered this allergy. He's never been allergic before, but after a couple of days, wouldn't this be out of his system?

I gave my whippet half a 25mg tablet of Promex (believed to be Acepromazine) for anxiety related to loud noises. It's been 18-20 hours and he's still very sleepy and dopey. I'm worried because it usually wears off more quickly. What should I do?
