My 11-year-old cocker spaniel has had dry dandruff-type spots on her back for the past 6 months. When rubbed off, hair comes out and shows red, moist areas. She has been treated with antibiotics and fuciderm gel, but new spots have appeared. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My 7-year-old Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix had a proptosed globe in her left eye. The vet prescribed Ak Poly Bac ointment to be applied to the eye. What is the best way to get the ointment in her eye? Her eye is sutured closed except for a small opening towards her nose. I've tried warming the ointment to make it less thick, but I'm still having difficulty getting it in her eye.
