My 11-year-old dog underwent urethral surgery for stone removal but experienced fibrosis, preventing stone removal. The urethra wound was kept open during surgery, and now my dog bleeds whenever he sits up or moves. The doctor suggests cauterization to stop the bleeding, but I am unsure if this is the right approach. Should I get a second opinion, and what are the potential risks of cauterization?
