My 11-year-old Golden Retriever, Molly, has been showing signs of decreased appetite, weakness in her back legs, lethargy, heavy panting after waking up, and increased water consumption since last Tuesday. She is eating soft food mixed with kibble, drinking a lot of water, and has normal stool. She seems to be in pain when getting up and dislikes steep stairs. Her vet has prescribed Rimadyl for possible arthritis. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?
