I am traveling with my 8-year-old Chow, Ming, who has anxiety in the car. He was prescribed 150 mg of Trazadone every 12 hours and 2 mg of Lorazapam every 12 hours, which I stagger. Today, he is still very anxious, crying, panting, and very restless. Once the car stops, he settles. Can he take another Lorazapam? He is only taking one per day as he does not need it at night. I still have 2 hours through mountain passes and then heavy traffic to get to the hotel. What could he be prescribed besides Trazadone that could be effective?
