My 12-year-old dog, Gizmo, has bloody diarrhea that looks dark red like jam, and he seems more thirsty than usual. He had this issue last night around 9pm, and his appetite is not good this morning. He hasn't eaten anything unusual recently. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My dog, Finnegan, a 12 lb poodle estimated to be 10 years old, has thrown up bile three times in two days and won't eat. He seems somewhat tired but perks up when outside. He follows me everywhere and shows no signs of pain. He has been a finicky eater and recently had several pup cups from Starbucks. He also got sick after a bordetella spray and was boarded for 10 days. Could these factors be causing his current condition?
