My 12-year-old dog has been sick for over a month with symptoms including swollen lymph glands, swollen paws and limbs, a hoarse bark, and a red rash on her belly. She has had two rounds of antibiotics and steroids, and Benadryl, which reduced the rash and limb swelling but not the facial or throat swelling. She still has a hoarse bark and a slight runny nose. She was checked for cancer (negative) and is slightly anemic. Her appetite and potty habits are okay, but she is a bit lethargic. What could be causing these symptoms, and what further tests or treatments should I consider?

My 12-year-old terrier female has a persistent spot on her back left upper hip area that she licks until it's nearly raw, with the hair gone. It's not due to fleas, and she's slow to get up after sleeping. Could this be caused by a chronic illness, and would pain be the reason for increased water drinking?

My dog is throwing up, shaking her head, and has way more energy than normal. She's not acting like herself. She's been throwing up for 3 straight days. She has eaten grass, and the grass has come out the other end. So I'm not concerned about a blockage. But she seems to vacillate between looking absolutely terrible and then having a lot of energy and spunk. She feels hot. And she's doing her best to lay on the cool bare floor. I have an appointment today at 3:30 after work. But anyone have any ideas?

My dog, Snickers, suddenly can't go up a step or stair despite wanting to, and she shows signs of pain such as being mushy, whining, and shivering. She was active and normal yesterday, but this issue arose this morning. What could be causing this and what should I do?

Our PUG (about 8 years old) is urinating blood. What can we do until a vet can see him, and what should I expect in terms of charges? I am 67, on Social Security, and no one takes payments in Reno that I can find.

My dog was bitten at the dog park 2 days ago on the neck. It bled a little but nothing serious. I cleaned it and put antibiotic cream on it, but today I noticed it feels swollen. It doesn't seem to bother him when touched or when he plays, but I'm worried about infection.
