My 12-year-old female Labrador named Rocket has a noticeable swelling around her rear ankle/Achilles. She walks on her tiptoes and favors the leg but shows no signs of pain and wants to run. The vet did not recommend surgery and advised to keep her sedentary. Can I wrap or use a brace to support her leg, and should I continue to restrict her from running, especially since we live in mountainous terrain with uneven and rocky surfaces?

My 8-month-old Boxer, Bingo, goes for my 5-year-old’s hands and feet with his mouth when he wants her to play. He doesn’t realize his size and she gets knocked down and starts crying. We have gone to dog training and he’s generally a good dog, but this is the only issue we have. It’s like play biting for attention and maybe a bit of oral fixation. Any ideas what we can do?

I have a 10-week-old foster puppy named Willa who is breathing rapidly. She was playing hard and has been breathing fast for over 45 minutes. Her chest is moving rapidly, and she feels a bit warm under her arms and belly. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My three-year-old golden retriever occasionally hacks as if something is stuck in her throat, does this 2-3 times in a row and then stops. This happens out of the blue and not regularly. Should I be worried about this behavior, and is it normal for dogs to do this?
