My 12-year-old female Labrador named Rocket has a noticeable swelling around her rear ankle/Achilles. She walks on her tiptoes and favors the leg but shows no signs of pain and wants to run. The vet did not recommend surgery and advised to keep her sedentary. Can I wrap or use a brace to support her leg, and should I continue to restrict her from running, especially since we live in mountainous terrain with uneven and rocky surfaces?
