My 12-year-old pitbull, Kage, has been throwing up food, drooling, and making a sound similar to a hiccup and dry heave/cough. He ate a lot of grass recently and is showing no interest in food today. What could be causing this and when should I take him to the vet?

What can I give my dog if he is vomiting intermittently for a day, with liquidy vomit containing food, after possibly consuming sea water and sand at the beach? The dog is 9 years old, has no medications, no blood in the vomit, and regular stool.

My 9-month-old greyhound cross, Zeke, has developed kennel cough since being in a shelter. I am unsure if this was contracted from the shelter or the area we moved to.
