My dog, Asia, is 6 years old and recently experienced heavy bleeding after being bred. She has since lost her appetite, drinks a lot of water, and has been vomiting multiple times, with the vomit containing mostly water and some heavy phlegm. She seems to be coughing before vomiting and has periods of lethargy. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My 2-year-old Chihuahua, Killer, started having a fever and became lethargic in his hind legs, not eating or drinking. I took him to the vet who diagnosed him with an unknown origin bacterial infection and prescribed Zeniquin and Stiffen. Despite the medication, he's not improving and now won't drink at all. I'm on disability and have limited funds. What can I do to help him?
