We have an 8-year-old male goat named Beau who had a rear leg amputated 7 years ago. For the last six months, he has been walking on the front tips of his front hooves, and in the last week, it has worsened significantly. He is barely able to get around. We trimmed his hooves, but it didn't help. Someone mentioned Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis Virus. What do you think?

I have a 10½ year old neutered Great Dane who occasionally experiences sudden loss of control in his hind and front legs. He has had three such events, the last being on 12 April. The vet has prescribed Vivitonin, which has improved his activity level, but these events are still concerning. The dog recovers within 2-3 hours after each event. The vet has not witnessed these events and is unable to make a diagnosis. What could be causing these events, and what can I do to help during these episodes?
