My 14-15-year-old male mixed rescue dog, who had a splenectomy 2 years ago due to a large benign tumor, has a large tumor/growth on his left front upper leg that has formed an abscess after being scratched. He is weak in his back legs and on tramadol, flagyl, benadryl, and gabapentin. We are concerned about the infection and his quality of life. Does the tumor look infected, and would antibiotics help? Also, considering his condition, would you advise having him put to sleep?

My yorkpoo, Daisy, takes gabapentin in capsule form (opened and mixed with water). Our vet prescribed the liquid gabapentin because it's easier to give to my dog. However, the liquid form didn't work as effectively as the capsules, and Daisy is still shaking and crying after 2 hours. Can I give her her normal capsule even though it's been about 2 hours?

Hi, I just brought my dog into the 24hr emergency vet. I gave him a 1/4 of a Tylenol to help with pain from a foot injury (he ripped his toe nail off). The vet recommended I contact you for advice on potential Tylenol poisoning. Has the dog vomited since he ingested the Tylenol? Is there anything else the Vet should know?

My dog, Tex, had surgery on his neck a few days ago to remove a cancer lump. He is now shaking a lot and limping on his front left leg, which is the same side as his neck surgery. He is on pain medication (tramadol and baythl). What does this mean? Is something wrong or is he just shaking from pain?
