My 14-year-old Chihuahua inhaled a spear grass two years ago, which was removed through nasal scope. Since then, he has had persistent nasal issues, including inflammation and difficulty breathing, especially at night. Recent scopes have found no foreign bodies but have identified inflamed tissue, and there are concerns about a possible tumor, fungus, or remaining spear grass fragment. The vet has suggested an MRI, but I'm looking for alternative treatments or medications, especially anti-fungal ones, to help manage his condition. Can you provide any suggestions or guidance?
