My 14-year-old dog, Lily, has wobbly back legs, won't eat, isn't barking at neighbors' dogs, and is breathing faster. I noticed a decrease in her appetite and energy level three days ago. She doesn't seem to be in pain and recently lost a rotten tooth. Is this an emergency, and what should I check before taking her to the vet?
