My 14-year-old dog, Tommi, has stage 2 kidney disease and is losing control of his bladder movements. He has been stable with vitamin injections, appetite stimulants, and a renal diet, but now has frequent accidents in the house and licks at his urine flow when outside. He was previously treated for urinary tract disease and bladder stones. What can be done to help him with his urine problems?

My 1-year-old Shiba Inu tripped and got his left hind leg stuck under the door, cutting his toe. It bled slightly and he limped initially but is now putting pressure on it. He also urinated inside due to being traumatized. There is no bleeding now, and the foot appears to be fine. How long should I monitor him before considering emergency care? I plan to wash the foot in warm water in an hour.

My dog, a 12-15 pound Pomeranian/Shiba mix approximately 4 years old, may have ingested 75mg of Effexor. I didn't see him actually ingest the pill, but I took it from his mouth. Should I wait for symptoms, induce vomiting, or take him to the vet immediately? How toxic is Effexor for dogs?
