My 11-year-old black lab, Millie, has been vomiting (liquidy with some food) and experiencing diarrhea for a week. She has also had bad-smelling gas and poops, some of which are diarrhea and some solid. She ate soft, cooked crab legs out of the garbage about 7-10 days ago. She drinks and eats smaller portions of her dog food, is spayed, and hasn't been to a vet in two or three years due to cost. What could be causing these issues and what can I do to help her at home?

My dog, Bear, has itchy skin with patches of flakiness and hair loss that occur every few months, especially in spring. He scratches but doesn't lick or rub the spots. My vet has been giving him antibiotics and steroids temporarily, but I'm looking for a more permanent solution. Could this be allergies, and would allergy medicine like Apoquel help?
