My 16-year-old Cairn Terrier, Monty, has been having on-and-off diarrhea for several months. Pet pumpkin powder has been effective in managing it, but he gets soft stools again when I stop. He has been on a consistent diet of Iams dry food and hasn't eaten anything unusual recently. What should I do to help him?

My dog ate a 5.5 oz Terry’s milk chocolate orange. He is a 75lb husky named Floki, 6 years old, and otherwise healthy. We are unsure if we should take him to the vet or just monitor at home. He has not thrown up since eating the chocolate.
