I rescued a 7-month-old puppy from the humane society 6 days ago. The vet found a roundworm egg in his stool and gave him a dewormer. He still has diarrhea despite being fed chicken and white rice, but he's eating well and playing normally. Today, he started having random coughing fits, which are dry and hacking, lasting about 45 seconds. This has occurred 5 times today and makes me nervous. Could this be normal after a dewormer? Should I be concerned about the coughing and diarrhea?

My mother's 9lb - 10 yr old Silky Terrier was put on a regimen of Metacam one week ago. She is showing negative tolerance symptoms so I called our vet yesterday and stopped administering the drug. How long should it take for her symptoms to subside? She is bloated, lethargic, unsteady on her feet, was vomiting and extremely thirsty. She normally very active and has a good appetite.

I have a 12.5-year-old German Shepherd with a brain tumor (meningioma) and possible degenerative myelopathy. He is currently on procarbazine and displaying symptoms of degenerative myelopathy. I am considering using aminocaproic acid as part of Dr. Clemmons' protocol for degenerative myelopathy, but my dog also has heart disease, possibly mitral valve dysplasia. The dosage for aminocaproic acid is 500mg three times a day, but it should be used with extreme caution in dogs with heart disease. My vet and I are unsure whether to proceed due to potential risks to the heart, and I am seeking advice on whether to use this medication and at what dosage it becomes dangerous for dogs with heart disease.
