My 16-year-old female Italian Greyhound has significant arthritis in her back, hips, and legs. She started on Rimadyl two weeks ago but became increasingly finicky about her food and showed no improvement. Yesterday, she refused to eat or leave her bed, her walk was stiff and uncertain. The veterinarian at the ER performed abdominal ultrasounds, checked her heart, BP, and blood panel, all of which were within normal range. She was sent home with Gabapentin, discontinued Rimadyl, and given SQ fluids. She felt somewhat better when she got home, but this morning she was drowsy, uncoordinated, and refusing to eat. Can you think of anything we're missing?

My dog, Gemma, a 5-year-old 75 lb dog, chewed up an old ant trap (brand: Hotshot) about an hour ago. She did not swallow it and is showing no abnormal symptoms. What should I do?

My dog, Cooley, had surgery on his foreleg 8 days ago. There is a gap in the staples by day 3, and he licked the incision, causing a hole. The gap looks irritated, and it's currently bandaged. My vet wanted it left open for drainage. What should I do about the incision gap?

I have a 2-year-old female Pitbull named Queenie who crouches a lot, possibly due to being bred many times. She was rescued from a situation where she seemed terrified of her previous owner, and now her mammary glands are large and sagging. I am also concerned about her potential behavioral problems, especially with my other pets, a 7-month-old Pitbull/Husky mix and a cat. What should I know about her crouching behavior, her health, and how to manage her interactions with my other pets?

My Pomeranian, Brandy, ate a small packet of silica gel. I know it's not toxic, but should I be concerned about any other potential issues?

My dog, Fuzzy Butt, a 5-month-old miniature Shih Tzu, ate unripe passion fruit and became wobbly with no coordination. She improved with prednisolone but is not fully back to normal. She has strong-smelling urine, seems to have lost weight, and is not steady on her feet. What could be causing this and what tests should be done?
