My 17-month-old terrier mix named Bunny is constipated and cries when trying to defecate. She doesn't want to run or play, and her last bowel movement was on Monday, which was hard. I gave her canned pumpkin but it didn't help. She recently switched from canned Pedigree to canned Purina Dog Chow High Protein, which has 40g of protein per can, and she eats half a can. What can I do to help her and should I be concerned about the high protein content in her food?
