My 17-year-old Japanese Chin, Amber, has sores above her eye and on her forehead that scab over in a few weeks. The sores look normal once the scab falls off, but they are pinkish, flat, and larger than a pimple. There is some weeping, and she may be rubbing them due to soreness or itchiness. Amber has a history of bad teeth and abscesses. What could be causing these sores, and what treatment options are available if they are not cancerous?
