My 2-year-old black lab has rapid breathing, around 75 breaths per minute, with stomach and chest movements, occasional clear nasal discharge, and sporadic sneezing. He was initially diagnosed with Lyme disease and treated with steroids and antibiotics, which seemed to help but the symptoms returned. He was then put on Zyrtec, but the problem persists. What could be causing this rapid breathing and what further diagnostic tests should be considered?
