My 3.5-year-old mid-sized dog, approximately 60 pounds, has lumps and bumps on his chest and legs that swell, pop open, and ooze a brownish-red substance. The vet initially thought it might be cancer but later diagnosed it as granulomas or fatty tumors. Several antibiotics have been tried, but they only temporarily reduce the swelling. The dog also excessively licks the area, pants heavily, and seems to be in pain. What could be causing this, and what further steps should be taken to diagnose and treat the condition?
