My 4-year-old 45-pound Bulldog has had severe diarrhea for 5 days, starting with vomiting once on the first day. I switched him to a boiled chicken and rice diet, which seemed to improve his stool, but explosive diarrhea returned when I reintroduced his regular dry food. I am now fasting him for 24 hours and plan to start feeding him Hills I/D twice a day. Am I doing the right thing?

My German Shepherd is scratching and itching excessively. I know it's not fleas as he is on Frontline. He is biting, itching, chewing, and losing fur. I suspect it might be mange but am unsure of the type. I am unemployed and cannot afford a vet visit or medications. What can I do to help my dog?
