For the last 3 days, she has been biting at her hind end, walking a few steps before hitting the ground and whirling around as if something is biting her backside. She has a slight fever, no discharge, good bowel movements, and some straining when urinating. She has had a UTI before, which cleared up with antibiotics and Rimadyl. What could be causing her discomfort, and what should I do?

Is it possible for a dog to have an out-of-body experience, and why do I feel my dog Maxwell visiting me in my sleep? Maxwell is a mini-pincher who I had to give up due to his collapsed trachea and constant choking. The couple who adopted him loves him and he continues to fight his condition. I have a special bond with Maxwell and it's been five years since I had to give him up. I don't mind him visiting me, but I'm curious if this is his way of telling me he's sick.

My boxer is on phenobarbital, zonisamide, and prednisone. He has been adjusting to these medications since December, but he still has very noisy and difficult breathing, especially when lying down, and doesn't move much. Is this a side effect of the medication, or should I take him to the hospital?
