My dog, a 7-year-old German Shepherd named Moose, has been experiencing hair loss and a change in skin color for about 2-3 months. He has been licking the affected areas, and we had a flea problem last fall which we addressed. My other German Shepherd is not showing any signs of skin issues. What could be causing Moose's symptoms and what can I do to help him?

My dog Nala, a 14-month-old Staffy x Bullmastiff, has just finished her first heat cycle. Her nipples are swollen, not just the nipples but around them too. Could this be due to hormones, and if so, how long until the swelling goes away? Could she be pregnant, and if so, would it be showing this early? Nala is kept in a secure yard and pen at night, so I don't think she is likely to be pregnant.
