My 5-month-old French Bulldog, Lucy, broke her left rear metatarsal after falling down the stairs. The vet recommended pain meds and limited activity to let the bone heal on its own, without a cast or splint. Does this sound right, and is there any benefit in at least wrapping it or making a small splint?
