My 5-month-old puppy, Kentucky, has had diarrhea since Saturday. He was at a kennel last week while I traveled. He's eating small portions of rice and boiled chicken, and his gums are light pink. What could be causing his diarrhea and what can I do to help him?

We changed our dog Ruby's medication from Trifexis to Heartgard/Nexgard to add tick protection. After one dose two weeks ago, Ruby's scratch reflex has increased to the point where just patting her on the side causes her leg to jump, similar to when her belly is scratched. Is this a reaction to the medication change?
