My 5-year-old, 65-pound standard poodle, Winston, has been lethargic, whined while going down stairs, and has a bright red gum line on the right side of his face. He ate this morning but has been lethargic and did not drink today. He attended a loud Christmas party last night and has not vomited. What could be causing his symptoms and what should I do?

I just got a puppy last night and he ate some food this morning and one treat around 11am but has yet to eat anything else. He has been sleeping most of the day and has played a bit. He did not sleep much yesterday and had diarrhea, but today's stool was solid. Should I be worried, especially since some puppies from the same place had PARVO?
