My 6-month-old German Shepherd, Achilles, is limping on his front leg, won't sleep, and won't sit still. He holds his leg up and whines when we try to touch it, but doesn't yelp. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My 3-year-old pit bull mix has skin issues and a grain allergy. She has been showing signs of hip dysplasia, such as lazy sitting, difficulty walking on hard floors, jumping on beds or couches, and sensitivity to touch in her rear legs. She has trouble walking up/down stairs and jumping in/out of the car. She sits with her legs off to the side and is in pain, especially during winter. What can I do to help her, especially if I can't afford expensive procedures or medications?
