My dog, Judah Goforth, a 5-year-old Yorkiepoo, has been having seizures for the past three days. He vomited a treat earlier, and there is food in the vomit but no liquids or foam. He ate a piece of chicken with garlic sauce on it. He has had seizures before, maybe 1 or 2 a year. Should I take him to the vet immediately?

My Shih Tzu, Patches, woke me up this morning retching and throwing up yellow bile. He then had an explosive poop and continued to retch all morning. He started drinking water but threw up every second time. He is approximately 7 kg and 13 1/2 years old. He had a similar but shorter episode on Monday and had a small stroke earlier this year. He has no appetite and is very lethargic. Could he have gotten into anything unusual, and what should I do?

Can I administer subcutaneous fluids in the scruff of the neck using a tiny 23 gauge butterfly needle and a syringe, as I did with my previous cat, or should I follow the Western method of using a drip back and a larger 21 gauge syringe in the flank-hip area? 2. Are there any independent clinical trials or studies on Elura, a medication potentially being prescribed for Fonzie, other than those sponsored by the company?
