My 6-year-old dog, Smokey, was diagnosed with leptospirosis three days ago and has been receiving treatment in the hospital, but his condition is worsening instead of improving. He was initially not eating, had vomiting, and now has issues with his liver, kidneys, and breathing. The vet is suggesting termination of treatment. My 47lb dog, Michael, ate a dark chocolate and sea salt Kind bar within the last 2 hours. He seems fine, but is there enough theobromine in a Kind bar for this to be an emergency? Additionally, Michael has a sensitive stomach and has had bouts of diarrhea, leading to a fresh food diet. He's been on a fresh food diet for a few weeks, but I'm considering switching to a dry food. Should I look for a non-prescription dry food or go for a prescription dog food?
