🐕  Dog Health

My 6-year-old male Yorkie, Bruno, has had three seizures over the past 15 days. He had his first seizure on 6/29, followed by two more. He has no other symptoms besides seizures. His liver enzyme tests and bile acids test came back abnormal, and the vet suggested an abdominal CT scan to check for a liver shunt. I am concerned about the necessity of a CT scan over an ultrasound and the potential for surgery versus medical management. What could be causing his seizures, and what are the best steps forward for his diagnosis and treatment?

The seizures in Bruno are likely related to abnormal liver function, possibly due to a liver shunt. ...
