My dog had become impacted due to hair around his anus. A vet treated the situation by cutting away the hair, but did nothing for the wound itself. Now my dog is in pain and it is the weekend with no vet available. What can I do to alleviate his pain (difficulty sitting down, trembling with movement)?

I have a large dog who hurt her leg and can't walk. I am older and can't lift her into my SUV. Would half of a Vicodin hurt her? I am trying to find someone to help me lift her but no one is home.

Our 11 lb poodle has been straining to have a bowel movement for the past 2 days. She plays some, eats a little, and goes on walks. She doesn't seem to have any pain when we press on her stomach. Can this wait until Monday?
