My 7-pound, 5-month-old dog, Daisy, chewed up a gel ice pack but didn't consume much of the gel. She is acting normally and has shown no signs of vomiting or diarrhea. Should I be concerned, and is there anything else I should know or do?

My dog, Indy, a 3-year-old, got hit in the head with a softball about half an hour ago. She won't open her eyes fully, can't get comfortable, and her second eyelid only opens halfway on the uninjured eye, while the injured eye looks bloodshot. She also seems exhausted. Is she concussed or is there a more serious injury like an orbital fracture? What immediate steps should I take?
