My 8-month-old puppy, Molly, has an irritated anus. She has been licking excessively, and her glands were expressed yesterday. She is currently on an antibiotic, Metronidazole. Is there a topical ointment available to help with the irritation?

My 16.5-year-old Bichon Frise has been having seizures since August and is on Phenobarbital. She has multiple masses, including a large one in her throat, and recently started coughing and gagging, sometimes vomiting white fluid. She is more restless at night, making it difficult for us. I'm concerned about cancer spreading to her lungs and want to know what can be done about her restlessness and when to worry about the coughing. I do not want her to suffer and am prepared to make the tough call if necessary.
