My dog was diagnosed with atypical Addison disease and prescribed 10mg of prednisone every 12 hours. She is 45 pounds. I'm concerned if 10 mg is too high for her weight and if it's normal to start with such a dose. She seems alert but tired, urinates more than usual, but not excessively.
