My 8-year-old dachshund, Miley, has a pounding and somewhat irregular heartbeat and seems lethargic. She started showing these symptoms a few days ago, which initially seemed like hiccups. My dog, who just turned a year old in May, recently had a neutering surgery and developed an ear infection. I've been treating the ear infection with drops, but I noticed a small, hard, crusty, black bump on the base of his head/neck between his ears. The bump appeared recently and is a little bigger than a pea. What could this bump be, and should I be concerned?

I have a 3-year-old French Brittany male who became aggressive towards other male dogs after a month-long visit to a gun dog trainer when he was 1.5 years old. His aggression is usually directed at male dogs who invade his space. Recently, I brought in a female French Brittany puppy, and he has already snapped and attacked her.
